Radiant 0.6.10 Release Candidate Soon

It’s been quiet around here for a while. Luckily, the holiday weekend afforded me some time to hack out the remaining functionality in the RESTful refactoring.

On Sunday, the ‘rest’ branch was merged into ‘master’, completing the transition and the majority of the milestones set for 0.6.10. However, along the way we picked up spec_integration for high-level integration testing, and the integration suite is far from complete. We’ll need to complete that before we can release. Also, there are surely some holes at the unit and functional-test levels, likely in helpers and controllers. Anything you can contribute to that would be appreciated!

The final 0.6.10 will be a “developer” release. There won’t be any significant new functionality in the release, but the whole controller layer for the admin side has been rewritten (with a few exceptions) and Rails has been upgraded to 2.1.2 (I’d also like to try to upgrade to 2.2.2 before the final release). It’s important that developers have a chance to update their extensions to accommodate the changes before 0.7.

I hope that I’ll be able to put out a release-candidate gem by December 13, the next sprint day. Keep your eyes peeled!
